Vision Statement

The Vision of Barbour County Intermediate School is for all stakeholders to be committed to developing the whole child by providing a nurturing and safe environment that fosters a rigorous academic and technological curriculum that will prepare to become productive citizens and future leaders.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Barbour County Intermediate School. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and helping to achieve academic excellence with all scholars of Barbour County Intermediate School. 

I am a three-time graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master in History Education, and a Master in Instructional Leadership. 

I have several years of experience in public education as a History Teacher, assistant principal, and Principal. My Motto is “Academic Excellence, By Any Means.” 

I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church. I am happily married to Danita Munford and we share one wonderful kid, Evan.

I firmly believe that all students can succeed with the right amount of support and encouragement. At Barbour County Intermediate School, We will achieve “Academic Excellence, By Any Means.”
