The Vision of the  Barbour County Intermediate School  Media Center is to be a library flowing with  collaboration, curiosity, adaptability, and critical inquiry.

We have  paperback books, hardcover books, chromebooks, headphones, and other resources. 

Circulation Procedures

Students may check out two book at a time. Students in grades 5th-6th can check out three books.  

Do not check out a book for another student.

Students are responsible for items that are checked out in their names.

Students with overdue books will not be allowed to check another item out.

Accelerated Reader Points Finder
This website will tell you if a book has an ar test and the point value.  Check out this website if you want to make sure the book you are reading is an ar book. 

ALEX
ALEX, a project of the Alabama Department of Education,  is designed to index and share many different resources.  It is a a FREE one-stop resource for teachers. 

Edmodo
Edmodo is an easy way to get your students connected so they can safely collaborate, get and stay organized, and access assignments.  

Congress for Kids
Learning about the federal government doesn't have to be boring. Congress for Kids gives you access to interactive, fun-filled experiences designed to help you learn about the foundation of our federal government and how its actions affect you. Although designed for students in grades fourth through high school, other students, teachers, parents, and interested citizens will find helpful, engaging activities, too. 

Encyclopedia of Alabama
The Encyclopedia of Alabama is a free, online reference resource on Alabama’s history, culture, geography, and natural environment. It was developed by the Alabama Humanities Foundation and Auburn University with generous financial support from across the state. Auburn University hosts EOA's editorial office through the Office of University Outreach, in partnership with University Libraries and the Office of Information Technology.
